The ‘Friends’ are a registered Public Benefit Organization, who plays a vital role in helping the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Art Museum by:
- Actively contributing their knowledge, experience and competence
- Supporting acquisitions and a wide range of projects and events
- Representing the Art Museum’s interests by promoting to a wider audience, in doing so, develop art appreciation and participation.

Members are kept informed about forthcoming major exhibitions, workshops and other events.
