Route 67 – Public Art Commissions
67 Public Art Works symbolising Nelson Mandela’s 67 years of work dedicated to the Freedom of South Africa.
The Public Artworks commissioned by the Mandela Bay Development Agency (MBDA), on behalf of the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality with the financial support of the NLDTF, will see 67 public art interventions in the inner city.
The first phase of artworks have been installed on the Donkin Reserve. In the next 10 to 12 months the ROUTE 67 will complete the journey from the Campanile via the Donkin Reserve to the Athenaeum, with links to Uitenhage, South End and Red Location.
